Description

A virtual spot the difference game.

Resources

Cadets and leaders camera's need to be on.
Items needed to identify teams.

Let everyone know that you'll focus on what you can see in the background of their video call, so they may want to find a comfortable spot with an interesting/changable background they're happy to show off.

Instructions

Everyone needs to join the video call with their camera on.
Split the group into two teams - get creative with how you shopw who's on which side e.g. one team could wear hats, sunglasses, scarves etc
One team should then spend 30 seconds looking at the backgrounds of the other team's videos. They should try to remember as much as they can (no taking pictures or screenshots allowed!)
After 30 seconds, the second team should turn their videos off and quickly change one thing in their background.
Once everyone's ready, the second team should turn their cameras back on and give the first team 30 seconds to spot as many changes as they can. They should type the changes into the chat as they spot them.
After 30 seconds, the second team should reveal any changes the first team didn't spot.
The teams should sway over so everyone has a turn to spot the difference.

You could also include a reflection in this asking everyone how they found it hard to spot a change. Were somethings harder to notice than others etc This could link in with observation skills different officers use during their careers.
It could also tie in with discuss what they would do if they saw something whilst out in public/at school etc that looked out of place.
