Description

Team game to; code, transmit and decipher messages.

This activity is a physical exercise activity as well as learning Morse code in a fun way. Messages are transmitted using; star jumps, or jump on the spot, for dots and touch the floor for dashes.

For example - SOS - 3 star jumps , 3 touch the ground, 3 star jumps.

Instructions

Divide the Cubs into two teams, one team to code and transmit the messages and the other team to decode and record the messages. Teams to swap over so each team gets a chance to code and transmit and decode and record.
The objective is to accurately transmit and receive messages, therefore, team work is key, for example; each Cub takes it in turn to send one letter of the message, while, the other team works together to decode.

Alternatively teams can ask each other questions and send answers.

The movements can be modified or replaced with any physical movement to make it inclusive to anyone's physical needs.
