Description

As a team, work together to create a map of a new/fantasy location. This can be done as a whole group or when split into smaller groups.

Paper and pens or online map making programme

Instructions

Using zoom a scout or leader can share their screen if using a map making program or draw on paper. Discuss with the scouts the kinds of things seen on maps found in TV shows, films or fantasy novels. Allow the scouts to choose what they want and where they place it working together to create a map that they can then use for the Entertainer Badge.

Come together and discuss the maps made, what the different groups like, what they think works, what might be challenges found on this new map; rivers to cross, towns to reach, enermy creatures to fight. You can also discuss how difficult the scouts may have found it, tips on what they can do to make it easier, how they can improve on the map they made if the group think any improvements can be made.
