Description

Use the 5WSS guide to fire lighting to build a safe campfire for your family. If you have a suitable space, light it and maybe even toast a marshmallow. If you are unable to light your fire, you can still practice building it and setting up the area safely.

Instructions

Download the 5WSS fire lighting guide to build your campfire safely.

Before you start:

Make sure you have a bucket of water nearby.
Make sure the area is clear and you are away from buildings, trees, etc.
Do not build your fire on tarmac, fancy driveways, decking or pebbles.
Make sure your parents know what you are doing.
If you need to cut wood make sure you are supervised by an adult.
