Description

Do something a bit different, a bit random, and go on a random, unplanned hike with the aid of a six-sided die.

Resources

You'll need a six-sided die, some sturdy walking shoes or boots, and some family members to walk with you.

Instructions

Get yourself ready for a hike, so make sure you have plenty of layers, good comfortable socks and walking shoes or boots, and leave your home.

Every time you get to a junction or a fork in the road, roll the die to determine which way you should go:

- If you roll a 1 or a 2, go left.
- If you roll a 3 or a 4, go right.
- If you roll a 5 or a 6, go straight ahead.

Set yourself a time limit - if you're a Beaver, try for at least an hour; if you're a Cub, go for at least 90 minutes; if you're a Scout, try for at least 2 hours, and take plenty of photos of your walk, to make sure you give it a purpose!
