Description

Make a corner bookmark shaped like a bird.

Resources

2 pieces of coloured paper - one needs to be 15x15cm, the other is just to cut a beak and feet so can be small - say 1/4 of a sheet of A4.
A piece of white paper - 1/2 a sheet of A4 is enough.
Pritt stick and black pen.

This is to make a penguin but we adapted to make any bird as doing on Zoom and allowed parents to use whatever colours they had.
If they only have white paper to use then they will need to colour both sides of the 15x15cm piece and both sides of the feet and beak.

When some have finished, ask the Beavers about looking after books - what do they know? Ideas - touch books with clean hands, don't spill food and drink on them, can put a cover on a really favourite book, put books away on the shelf when finished, use a bookmark rather than bending the spine to keep their place.
