Description

Beavers will be learning to tie 3 simple knots, to include :
- the Reef Knot - https://www.animatedknots.com/square-knot,
- the Figure 8 Knot - https://www.animatedknots.com/figure-8-knot
- and the Cow Hitch/Lanyard Hitch - https://www.animatedknots.com/cow-hitch-knot-end-method

to introduce them to rope and knot work.

Resources

2 short lengths or rope/string/paracord for each member (2 different colours if possible). Access to 3 Simple Knots guide.

Instructions

Leader demonstratesa knot in slow time with a description of actions taken. Beavers should watch only on first demonstration. Second demonstration, the beavers follow along with their own ropes. Leader demonstrates a third time, again slowly. Beavers practice. Repeat proces for each of the 3 knots.
