Description

Outcome: each YP will have two potted sunflowers to take home for a month to look after. One to keep and plant at home, one to bring back.

Resources

Sunflower seeds
Large youghurt pots
Soil
Marker pen (for marking names on pots)
Cup (for watering)

Instructions

- If completing inside, make sure that there is a tarp or newspaper laid down. This may depend on the weather
- Each YP will be given two pots, two sunflower seeds, a cup (for watering)
- The pots will already have some soil in them
- The leader in charge will demonstate the activity
- Pat down the soil and make a hole with your finger
- Place the sunflower seed and cover it up
- Water the plants
