how to make a simple bird feeder

Resources

Need
Small yoghurt pot/paper cups
Bird seed [avoid ones containing nuts]
Suet or lard [ needs to be at room temperature ] String [pre cut by leader]
Sharp scissors/tool for making hole
Small bowls for mixing
Labels and pencils

Instructions

How to make
1 make a hole in the bottom of the pot and thread through a piece of string tying a knot to make sure it stays in place
2. Mix fat and seed in a small bowl use more seed than fat this is best done by hand , suggest child wears disposable gloves
3. When mixed place in pot and press down firmly.
4. Leave to set before hanging in a tree
