You will need to plan and write out the directions for your own short walk in your area.

Instructions

Cubs had to "collect" letters along the way. For example: what is the middle letter on the post beside the footpath? What is the first letter of the away team at cricket next week.

This was part of a set of different activities linked to Navigator Stage 2 - each one produced letters to rearrange to make a word,
BOOTS
RUCKSACK
COMPASS

When they had all the words, there was an opportunity to discuss what they had in common, and to consider other suitable kit for a hike.
