Matching Pairs Memory card game to learn about the symbols of the Guiding movement/WAGGGS. Previously “Links of Unity”.

Resources

Make up a set of reusable cards (not included) or have the Guides write/draw their own set.

Instructions

Shuffle cards.
Spread out cards face down.
Guides take turns selecting 2 cards at a time and try to collect matching pairs of cards.
Discuss topics while preparing resources, explaining the activity or as cards are revealed.

Variations:
Competitive: If a Guide collects a pair they get another turn.
Cooperative: Set matched pairs in a collective pile instead of individual piles.
Virtual: Leader has the cards, number the backs of the cards at random. Guides call out their card choices by number. Best with a document camera, or phone camera added to your Zoom meeting.
