Nest Raiders with Ribbons
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
Cubs steal the eggs from the opponents nests whilst ensuring they don't loose their ribbons (lives)
Resources
This wide game is designed to be played in a large field. Create two “nests” (e.g. 5m coned off area) at either end of the field with 5 “eggs” (e.g. plastic balls) in the middle of the nest and a “prison” (e.g. 5m coned off area) in the middle of the field. Define a boundary to the playing area that is the size of a football pitch or similar. Split the cubs into 2 teams and attach a ribbon to their backs with a peg so it comes off easily – this is their life. Each team has a different coloured ribbon and starts the game near their own nest.
Instructions
• An attacking team can only enter the opposing teams nest to steal an egg if they are in a group of 3 or more. Once a cub is in the nest their lives/ribbons can’t be taken. One attack can only take one egg and the egg needs to be returned to their own nest.
• If a ribbon is taken from a cub they lose a life. Both cubs walk to the prison where a leader takes the ribbon and attaches a new ribbon to their back but with a different colour so they return to the game on the opposing team.
• If one of the sides only has 1 or 2 people left in play then they need to steal a life from the opposing team so they can return to a full attacking team of 3 again.
• No pushing, shoving etc is allowed. If this is seen by a leader the cub goes to prison to cool off for a couple of mins.
