Crossing the hall using A4 sheets of paper

3 sheets of A4 paper per patrol

Instructions

The floor is lava. You have some special stepping stones. They may look to you like A4 sheets of paper, but they are special and you will be safe for the lava. You have to cross this pit of lava, you need to get your whole patrol across, using your stepping stones and your ingenuity.

If someone does fall in the lava - they have to go back to the start.

The patrol can decided how to use the sheets of paper. They could take two across at one time, and one come back for another person. They could rip the sheets in half and get a group across at one time. They could rip into tiny pieces and tiptoe across the room.

Question to ask at the end - what would they do differently next time?
