Ladybird Corner Bookmark

Resources

• red paper (15cm squared used for demo but any square works)
• scissors
• glue
• small circle of black paper/card for head (or colour in white paper/card with black marker)
• little bit of white paper for eyes (or use googly eyes)
• black marker
• glue

The template is a square. Number it on front and put the corresponding letters e.g. (a) for the back of the number.
This is just for the Leader to understand the folds so it can be tried out on any square page. There is a photo of each stage below.

Folding instructions:
1. Fold 3 down to 1 to form a triangle.
2. Fold B and D over to A to form a square, then allow it to open again.
3. Fold A (single sheet) to E so the triangle is maintained but the base of a pocket is formed.
4. Fold the corners back up to form a square again.
5. Tuck B and D down into the v pocket to form the basic square bookmark.
6. Cut the heart shape out as per the photos and glue on the black head and eyes and add the middle line and spots as per the photos. This is very easy to make and really cute!
