Instructions
Quick Warmup - Split into groups with a piece of paper. Ask each group to Draw a 'typical' cub scout and write who cubs are and what they think cubs do.
Bring all groups around the whiteboard.
Ask them if they know what cubs are or who can be a cub scout - Cubs is part of the worldwide family of scouting.
Who started cubs? - RBP
Ask them if they know what the other sections are
Who can be a cub - Anybody that's 8-10.5 of any faith, religion or gender.
What do cubs do? - Cubs take part in lots of games and activities, learn useful skills, have fun and make new friends.
Introduce that as a cub pack we have lots of traditions.
Does anybody know of any traditions? - Talk about the answers if they have any
Salute / Promise / Law / Inspections / Opening ceremony
(Practice an opening ceremony)
Come back to whiteboard - Write Promise & Law up - Discuss what they think they mean.
