Description

Create constellation shapes using marshmallows for stars, and spaghetti to join then into shapes. Beavers also like to make abstract shapes and satellites!

Instructions

Show the YP the images of the constellations, and talk about what they are. If it's dark and clear, go outside and spot the Big Dipper or Orion (or whatever's easily spotted).

In small groups, get the YP to work together to build a constellation of their choice from the marshmallows and spaghetti. They shouldn't eat the marshmallows, as they will have been handled, and probably on the floor!
