Description

The "Momma Bird" must protect her egg from thieves.
1 Player is the Momma Bird, everyone else is a thief.
The bird's "nest" is placed within a drawn grid or maze on the floor, Thieves must move through the grid to get the egg, without being eaten by the momma bird.

Resources

A "Golden Egg" - big yellow ball or something like that.
Something to mark out a maze or grid on the floor, like rope or chalk
A blindfold

Instructions

1 person starts out as the "Momma Bird" - but this is a blind species - she must be blindfolded.
Her egg is placed in the centre of a circular maze, either drawn by chalk or marked out by rope.

All other players are thieves. All thieves start the game with backs against the wall. They are safe there.

Momma bird will start the game where the leaders put her (after blindfolding)

On "Go", a thief will be selected by a leader. The thief will attempt to stealthily navigate the maze to get to the nest, steal the egg, get back out of the nest and the maze, and back to the wall where they started, without being caught by the Momma.

Momma bird can fly however. She does not need to navigate the maze, she can fly over it. If she hears a player, she can fly directly over to them. One tap is enough to stop the thief (she may eat them).
(Momma bird moves slowly, NO RUNNING - we don't want people sprinting into walls)

If the thief is caught, they are out until a new Momma is chosen.
If the thief steals the egg, they become the new Momma
