Playing banagrams in a field/hall

Resources

144 cardboard squares (A4-ish) with letters written on them.

Place these upside down in the middle of the field.

Instructions

If playing with 2-4 teams, each take 21 tiles. If playing with 5-6 teams, take 15, 7-8 teams, take 11. All should be upside down.

Someone shouts "split" and everyone turns their tiles face up and tries to make their own scrabble grid with connecting words. The grid can be rearranged as often as you like.

When you place your last tile, shout "peel" and everyone goes to get one tile.

If you're stuck, shout "dump" and put one letter back in the middle of the field, and take three new ones.

The winner is whoever uses up all their tiles and shouts "bananas".
