Make a bobble hat for the Christmas tree

Resources

Cardboard tube cut into 2 cm widths ( to look like a napkin ring)
Wool (double knit) different colours cut into 15cm lengths
Cotton wool

Instructions

Take a strand of wool, fold it in half place the cardboard tube over the wool so that the folded end is inside the middle of the tube, bring the loose ends over the rope of the cardboard and thread through the loop and tighten. Continue all the way round until the cardboard is covered, making a pattern with the different colours. You could use up to three strands at a time to make it slightly quicker.
When the tube is covered push all the loose ends through the centre of the cardboard tube and then tie a piece of wool around the stands to make it look like a bobble . Stuff with a cotton wool ball to keep its shape .

You could also make a pom-pom for the hat to sit on to make a gnome….
