Cubs take turns to read elements of the story of the Pilgrim Fathers with projected images.
Cubs view a powerpoint to prompt them to think how fortunate they are.
Cubs play a Gratitude Game in which they name things for which they are grateful

Bag containing 4 different colour items which match the gratitude game card (Yellow, green. blue, pink)

Instructions
Print one copy of Thanksgiving text
Set up projector with Thanksgiving images
Cubs take turns to read out numbered text (omit grey)
Discuss:
- were the native Americans grateful that the pilgrims came
- Are the current thanksgiving festival values true to the original spirit
Show Thanksgiving PowerPoint as a precursor to the gratitude game
Play game (Cubs pick a worm from the bag and then name a person, place, food or object they are grateful for according to the colour chosen)
