Description

A relay running race where teams compete to place instruments in the right place on their orchestra chart and be the first team back.

Picture of the orchestra
Sticky tack or adhesive tape/ glue

Instructions

Each team has a large piece of paper (eg flip chart) with a semi-circle shape and sections of the orchestra labelled: Percussion, strings, Brass, Woodwind set up at one end of the room.

At the other end, the teams wait with a collection of pictures of different instruments, Leader of the Orchestra (Hint: it's the violin closest to the conductor and at the front), Conductor - suggest 2 or 3 per person
Also provide each team with a picture of an orchestra as a guide
Relay race with each person running to the end, placing the picture on the orchestra chart and running back.
10 points for the first team back, 5 for second place
Deduct a point if an instrument is in the wrong place
