Description

A photo scavenger hunt for teams to complete using the attached form. Feel free to change the wording to suit your Unit.

Go through the alphabet with them as a whole Unit (there's videos on youTube if you want to be sure you're doing it right)
Hand out sheets with pictures for each letter - see link
Ask them to finger-spell their name to the person next to them.

Give them the scavenger hunt sheet, along with any rules and a time to be back - and off they go!

Explorers have to take a photo of the item in question (or an item which fits the category) and have one of them in the photo doing the sign language symbol for the first letter of that item.
E.g. For the item "web" Explorers find a web and take a photo of it with one of their team mates next to it doing the symbol for "w"
