A game of snap to increase knowledge of the map symbols

Print off the flashcards attached (from OS teaching resources: https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/documents/resources/25k-map-symbol-flashcards.pdf), best if printed onto card or laminated for reusability.

Instructions

Using a print off of the map symbol flashcards, play a game of snap where the symbol cards are laid out on a floor/table. The leader calls out the name of one of the symbols, and the first scout to pick up the symbol gets to keep the card for the duration of the game. At the end, you can score up with the scout holding the most cards as the winner.
