Description

In this activity, Squirrels will bring in the grass heads and/or small plants they prepared earlier in the term, or can submit photos if this is easier. Squirrels will be encouraged to describe the changes which have taken place since the seeds were planted - exploring the look, feel, and smell of the growing plants. They can use the simple diary they were given at the start of the activity to show the changes through drawing or writing.

Resources

May need projector to display pictures of plants submitted by Squirrels ahead of the session.

Instructions

Squirrels may find it easier to do this in smaller groups to avoid the activity becoming intimidating.
