Description

A sweet Easter treat using a creme egg, mashmellows and piggy faces to create a take-home treat.

Resources

Per person:
1x creme egg
Mini Rolos for trotters (or Galaxy Minstrels)
Mini marshmallows (M&S sell large packs for baking. Two packs did 24+ pigs)
M&S Percy Pig face and tails
Chocolate topped round biscuit (chocolate digestive etc)
Chocolate spread / fondant icing (acts as glue)

Table knifes or similar as spreaders.
Kitchen paper squares make good work boards (or paper plates).
Sandwich bag or similar for taking home.

Consider adjustments for anyone with allergies - notably to gluten or milk/dairy.

Give firm instructions NOT to nibble, eat, try, lick or in any way consume the ingredients during the activity. Make clear it's for parents/carers to decide when they will be eaten.

Instructions

Each person takes one biscuit.
Spread about 1 teaspoon worth of chocolate spread on top as "mud".
Place Rolos (as trotters) and the creme egg (as body) to biscuit - they should stick to the chocolate spread.
Spread about 1 teaspoon of spread all over the creme egg to act as glue.
Cover the egg with mini-marshmallows - recommend starting in rows at the feet and working up.
Last, stick the piggy faces and tail in place with a little more spread.

Suggest sending home in a sandwich bag so parents can check ingredients and supervise consumption.
