A running about game with a variety of actions ( copied from someone's description on facebook)

Ask them to run (scurry) about using the space in a big circle- but all going the same direction so they don't bump into each other!

Resources

Indoor space where they have room to run about without too many obstacles, or outdoors in a contained area

Instructions

demonstrate each action and explain what they need to do before starting.

Start by saying squirrels scurry - they run in a circle.
Shout "kits" and they pretend to be babies
Shout "fluffy tails" and they wag their tails
Shout "climb a tree" think climb the rigging
Shout "munch some nuts" and they pretend to be shoving stuff in their mouths while puffing out their cheeks
Shout "forage" and they crawl around like they are looking for something

Between each small task shout 'squirrels scurry' and they continue to run in a circle
