Simple chasing game with hidden strategy

Area with several trees with space between them
Bibs for taggers (optional)

Instructions

One person is the tagger. Others are free to roam/ available to be tagged.
Trees are "home": while a person is touching a tree they are safe from the tagger BUT only one person can be on a tree at a time so if another roamer comes and touches the tree then the person on it has to vacate.

The game gets more interesting if, for example, roamers do not touch trees immediately but stand close ready to bounce someone off the tree as the tagger approaches.

Variations: more than one tagger, more than one person allowed on a tree (first on first out)
