A simple activity if you do not have access to suitable outdoors space or during lockdown.

Pens and paper

Instructions

Split the Cubs into groups (Sixes) and provide a pen/pencil and A4 piece of paper.
Ask the Cubs to think of as many mini beast as they can and write down as many good things and bad things they can think of for each mini beast
Leader/Young Leader in each Six encourages discussion
After 20 minutes bring the group together and ask each Six in turn to name one mini beast and what is good and bad about it.
If other Sixes had the same mini beast, see if they had additional good and bad things
Continue around each Six until their lists are complete
The Leader in charge can make use of the attached list to aid discussion
