Instructions

Read out the following facts/questions, asking the young people to run to whichever side of the room they think the answer is.

There are about 8 billion people on the planet - how many people do you think don't have safe, clean, water?
1 - 1 thousand
2 - 8 million

An average person in the UK uses 142 litres of water each day. How many litres do you think people in poorer countries use?
1 - Half a litre
2 - 10 litres - correct

In poorer countries, people don't have taps, and they have to collect water from rivers/wells/etc. On average, they have to walk 6km to get the water, which is like walking from here to (somewhere 6km away from you). Who's job do you think it is to get the water?
