Description
Scouts to do 5/10/15/20 times each of the following exercises:
Burpees
Squats
Step ups (requires bench)
Jumping Jacks
Calf Raises (hold for 5/10/15/20 seconds)
Plank (hold for 5/10/15/20 seconds)
Leg Raises (hold for 5/10/15/20 seconds)
Butt Kickers
Sit Ups
Lunges
This activity meets requirement "one" for the "Scouts Skills Challenge Award" - "Regularly take part in physical activities over a period of four to six weeks."
Resources
Benches or a step are needed for the "Step Ups".
Instructions
This activity should be run over 4 different sessions, with each session being harder than the previous one. The scout leader will demonstrate each exercise. Scouts will spread out so they all have enough space to perform each exercise safely. Each scout will perform each exercise at the same time.
You can reduce the number of exercises if some scouts are finding it difficult. The important thing is that each scout shows progress over the 4 weeks.
