Description

Colour-in the Scandinavian Cross pattern differently to make bunting which represents all of the Nordic countries.

Coloured pencils, crayons, paints or pens: blue, red, yellow (be aware that there are large areas to colour, so some pens may not be suitable).

String/ribbon.

Tape/glue/clips to attach the flags to the string or ribbon (or a hole punch, to thread it through the flags).

Instructions

Allocate each Young Person a flag, so they are fairly evenly spread and you have at least one of each country's flag. Have these cut-out in advance or ensure someone is on hand to assist with this after the colouring-in.

Finland and Faroe Islands optional (specific template for Faroe Islands not included).

Give them a reference picture or initially indicate (and/or mark) for the Young People which sections should be which colour, so they can continue independently.

Attach the completed flags to some sort of string or ribbon, to make bunting.
