Description

Play along by guessing which of two things is originates from Scandinavia, and which is from somewhere else.

Resources

None. (Unless you want to play as a written quiz - worksheets would need to be made - but designed for moving to one side of the room or the other to informally give an answer, without scorekeeping.)

Optional: Smartphone with access to music streaming needed for one question (musical bonus round).

Optional: Print attached prompt cards with images (can be held out to show which side you go to).

Instructions

Explain what and where Scandinavia is, if you haven't already. (Northern Europe: Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Finland.)

Read out the category and two options (see attachment). There is a practice round first.

Ask the players to identify which is originally from Scandinavia, by standing on the part of the room assigned to their answer. (e.g. Stand on the left if you think Lego is Scandinavian, and on the right if you think Rubik's Cubes are.)

Discuss why each answer isn't/is from Scandinavia (included on attachment).
