Description

This is an adrenaline rush activity testing resilience and nerve as the YPs step off the platform.
It is is a free fall drop which giving a mini parachute jump experience!
Once fitted with a harness and helmet, climb to the the lower level platform to "warm up" or to the top of the approx 10 metre pole
Once at either platform, all the YP needs to do is step off! The mechanism on the fan descender brings the person down on a controlled descent for a safe landing.

Resources

Provided by the activity centre: helmet, harness, ropes and pole with platforms.

Instructions

Climb to the platform.
Take the ultimate leap stepping off the platform and the fan descender restraint system uses the participant's own body weight to allow a safe, soft landing on the ground.

Not for the faint-hearted as a heart-sinking feeling of free falling can be felt before the relief of support. It’s scary and exciting but definitely fun!

Testing the nerves stepping off the platform and experience the adrenaline rush!
