"PIG" Wide Game

Description
A simple wide game for 2 (or more) teams, ideal if you want to kill some time in a field with very little equipment!
Resources
Some kind of plastic toy that can be flung about without being damaged and is a comfortable size to throw and catch.
Instructions
You need a LARGE playing area for this - the older the participants and the further they can throw, the larger the area you need!
Divide the group into your teams.
Give one of the teams the toy (e.g. a toy pig), and nominate a "runner" for that team - the rest of that team forms a circle around the player with the toy. When they are ready the player shouts PIG! and throws the pig across the field somewhere.
When they have shouted PIG two things happen at the same time:
1) The runner on the team who have thrown the pig starts running around their team and they (and a leader) count how many completed laps around their team they do before their time is up (that is when the other team has completed their task) - if the team are wise they will huddle together to make the laps smaller - but you don't have to tell them that! ;o)
2) Also as soon as the pig was thrown the other team (or next team if there are more than two) run to where the pig is. The first member to get there picks up the pig and the rest of the team form a circle around them, the player with the pig will then throw the pig to a team mate in the circle, who will then throw it back to them, they then move on to the next player in the circle - supervised by a leader, they have to throw the pig to each member and back without it being dropped on the floor. If it is dropped then they need to complete a full circle again from the player who dropped it (i.e. they start again).
Once the second team have finished their throwing an catching they should PIG! and the first team will stop running in circles!
When the second team shout PIG, the score is recorded but IMPORTANTLY - NO ONE MOVES! Both teams stay where they are. The team with the pig now throw it and the first team have to run from where they were previously and the cycle starts again.
Scoring is done simply by counting how many laps are completed and the game can continue going between teams until they are bored, or everyone who wants a turn has had a turn at throwing and running and all teams have had an equal number of goes at throwing and running.
