Description

Each participant is given a pre-prepared collection card. Whilst out and about, they collect items of as many different colours/shades as they can to stick to their collection card.

Resources

Small piece of cardboard per participant
Double-sided sticky tape

Instructions

Prepare a collection card for each participant by sticking a strip of double-sided sticky tape to their collection card.

Before heading out, hold a discussion about the kinds of things you might see that could be collected. Be sure to discourage the children from harming anything that is living or collecting anything that could be dangerous, such as sharp items.

While out and about, encourage the participants to look closely at their environment and collect as many different colours as they can to stick onto their rainbow collection card.
