Ice cream in a bag

Resources

-Half a cup of heavy whipping cream (double cream)
-One teaspoon vanilla
-Two half-teaspoon granulated or castor sugar
-One large sealable plastic bag and two small ones
-Coarse salt
-Ice

Instructions

Method:

1-Place the three ingredients into a tightly sealed sandwich sized bag, pressing the air out as you seal it.
2-Then put this into another tightly sealed sandwich bag.
3-Half fill the larger bag with ice cubes and six tablespoons of coarse salt.
4-Put the small bag in an ice filled bag and seal.
5-Shake the bag for about 5-10 minutes until the ice cream forms.
6-Then we sit in the grass and share the ice cream!

This can be done in Sixes. Allowing each member a turn to shake the bag ensures that nobody gets too tired. Each Six can have a different flavour, for example – add cocoa for chocolate flavour, crushed cookies, chopped fruit, crushed honeycomb etc.
