Instructions
Explain rules:
Only use picks to pick up litter (no hands)
If you find a syringe (unlikely), do not pick it up, just tell your group leader (leaders will report location to me and I’ll inform the Council so it can be safely collected).
If you find something like broken glass, let your group leader know, they will carry the bag with anything sharp like broken glass in
Do not run
Do not walk too close to the curb in case you fall
Give way to other path users
Listen to your group leader and other adult(s), especially when crossing roads
When crossing roads:
Do not cross the road unless told to do so by an adult
Look both ways before and while crossing the road
Tie shoelaces before crossing the road if they come loose
Split into groups (at least 1 DBSed leader per group):
Group 1 heads towards the Tandem (covering Cow Lane)
Group 2 heads towards and down Meadow View
Group 3 (depending on numbers) heads towards Meadow View on other side of road and covers Poplar Grove down to circle and back
