Team race to change over position of coloured cotton reels.

Resources

Two sets of coloured plastic cotton reels. Same colours for each team.
Type available from early learning

Instructions

Line up the Cubs so they are sitting in two teams.
Place a chair at each end of the Cubs.
Put various colours of cotton reels on the chair at one end and the rest at the other end.
For the other team put different colours at one end and the rest at the other end.
Number each team from opposite ends 1 - ?.
If there are odd numbers, just number last cub on the shorter six as two numbers
When you call a number and a colour they have to run to the correct end grab the colour, run to the other end and place it on the chair and then run to their place and sit down. First one to sit down wins.
If the cotton reel falls off the chair the runner must return and replace it on the chair.
