Description

Paint a picture - either freestyle or paint by numbers, using what you like, e.g. paintbrushes, fingers, sponges, etc. Be creative! (Bottlecap hyacinths)

Purple or pink paint
Bottle tops
Green card
Blue or white card
Glue

Instructions

Prior to this activity, advise parents about the use of paint, and ask the children to wear old clothes.

Step 1: Using the green card, cut out strips to resemble long blades of grass and flower stems. This can be prepared in advance, especially for younger Ladybirds.

Step 2: Glue the blades of grass and stems to the blue or white card, leaving a space between each one.

Step 3: Using purple or pink paint, dip the bottle tops to make and complete the flowers. Make sure to put paint on each side of the stem and between the leaves
