Use duct tape, bbq skewers and sweets to make a wave model for the experiment badge.

3 bags of marshmallows or jelly babies
BBQ skewers

Tear off a long strip of duct tape about 5m or longer. Space bbq skewed along the tape so that they have an even amount sticking out either side of the tape. Space them about 10cm apart. Cover the skewers with another strip of duct tape so it is like a sandwich of tape, skewered then tape. Put a sweet on each pointy end- try to make sure there is balance on each side. Hold the tape taught between two people. Firmly tap a marshmallow at one end of the tape and watch the energy move along as a wave. It looks great filing this in slow motion so they can really see it
