Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK

Description

Make a dreamcatcher.

Resources

• Paper Plate – one per Ladybird
• Single hole punch
• Lengths of wool in different colours
• Six beads per Ladybird
• Three feathers per Ladybird
• Small stickers/gems/crayons to decorate plate prior to threading

Instructions

Leaders should:
Cut out the centre of the paper plate.
Punch about 7-8 holes around the outside of paper plate, going in with the puncher as far as possible.
Punch one hole at what will be the very top (for hanging the thread).
Punch three holes at the bottom, spaced equally apart, for hanging the beads and feathers.
Start the threading by either making a knot or using Sellotape to affix the start of the wool.
See picture attached to gauge where holes should be punched.

Ladybirds should:
Decorate the plates prior to threading using stickers, gems and/or colours.
Thread back and forth, over and under the holes until there is a web created across the centre of the paper plate.
Leader can finalise the knot and then put on the three shorter pieces to hang down so the girls can thread the beads. Insert the feather in to the end of the wool know created to stop beads falling off.
Use a small piece of wool to create a loop for hanging the dream catcher through the hole at top of the paper plate.
