Resources

Gold card
Stick on coloured gems
Scissors
Craft knife (optional – easier to cut out middle)
Safety pins
Narrow sticky tape

Instructions

The Tara Brooch dates back to the 7th Century and is viewed as a symbol of ancient Celtic culture in the Emerald Isles. The name of the Brooch refers to the Hill of Tara, which is a location commonly referred to as the seat of the High Kings of Ireland.

Print or draw a copy of the template onto the back of the gold card.
1. Cut out the brooch template.
2. Decorate the Brooch with ‘gems’.
3. Attach the safety pin onto the back of the Brooch using the tape.
