Description

Children follow a trail in the dark -
I'm going to hang shiny foil covered shapes from the trees and hoping the walk around with a torch will reflect off the foil shapes. to find the object at the end of the trail.
D&D / lord of the rings theme story to it.

Resources

foil covered shiny cardboard cut out shapes.
High vis jackets
torches
and glowing end object - a small bottle with light up led string inside

Instructions

story:
"Dark Elves through war and greed over the years lost their immortality and became sinister beings. Once in a generation there is a worthy Dark Elf that will come forth.
On the equinox night the light of the moon and the living power of the trees will show a path through the wood and they may discover a phial containing the light of Earendil's star. This bottle will give the worthy seeker the power to regain their immortality and safe passage to Valinor when needed!"

The children in groups walk through the woods following the trail left earlier to the glowing bottle at the end !
