Resources

Cloth to blindfold and a picture of Rudolph the reindeer.

Coloured card paper, white paint,
pencils/ markers.

Recycled green plastic bottles or
paint a plastic bottle green.
Foam star stickers and foam
ornament stickers.

Instructions

Name the Christmas song
Play a selection of Christmas songs and have
the Ladybirds guess the song. The Ladybirds
can be divided into two teams and the one
with the most right answers wins!

Pin the nose on Rudolph
One at a time, each
Ladybird is blindfolded
and handed a paper
“red nose”. The Ladybird
is then spun around until
disoriented. The child
gropes around and tries
to pin the nose on Rudolph. The
player who pins their nose closest to the target, wins.
This is similar to pin the tail on the donkey.

Finger painted Christmas cards
Give each Ladybird a coloured card. Ask them to fold
it in half and to write their message inside. For the front
of the card, ask the Ladybirds to dip their fingers into the white paint and dot the card to make the shape of
a snowman. You can ask the Ladybirds to draw on the
arms and the face when the paint is dry, along with the
nose, hat and scarf.

Christmas tree craft
Get each Ladybird to bring in a
recycled green bottle if possible or
to bring in a plastic bottle pre-painted green.
Give each Ladybird a foam star sticker for the
top of the bottle.
Let the Ladybirds decorate their bottle with the
foam stickers – there is no right or wrong way to
decorate.

Wishing you a Happy Christmas and a Happy New
Year!
