Bannocks (Sweet dough twists)


Caster sugar, Dried Milk, self raising flour, canes and a fire


1 measure caster sugar
2 measures dried milk
4 measures self raising flour
mix to a doughy consistancy, break in to small balls, roll in to long thin sausages and wind around canes, put over the embers of the fire slowly turning, the twist are done when brown and and can be pulled off the cane leaving no dough on the stick, if you warm the stick first it will help cook the twist from the inside.
You can be adventurous and add chocolate/ chocolate powder, raisens, jam etc
