Make a bookmark.

Resources

• A4 white card
• Ribbon or similar ( e.g plaited cord or wool)
• Hole punch
• Colours (crayons pencils or markers)

Instructions

Making a bookmark:

Bookmarks can be any shape or colour.

1. Children can draw freehand on the bookmark shape or Leaders can print any of the attached bookmark templates on to the card. Paper can also be used and laminated afterward.
2. Punch a hole on top of the bookmark.
3. Cut ribbon into lengths of 14cm long.

When the bookmark is finished, take the ribbon and fold it in half. Push the middle bit through your punched hole creating a small ring. Pass the ends of the ribbon through the ring and pull to tighten the knot.
