Instructions

In order to have a Ladybird sleepover, a Leader who has an indoor license must help to organise the sleepover and attend the full sleepover.

We are recommending that for Ladybirds, the sleepover starts around 6pm and finishes at 10am/11am the following morning. However, Leaders will know their Units and what works best for them.

We also are recommending that your sleepover is made up of the older Ladybirds who are moving onto Brownies next year. Again, Leaders will know who is well suited for a sleepover.

In order for the Ladybirds to obtain the badge we have the following requirements which must be met:
• Know what’s needed for a sleepover (you can talk to the Ladybirds in the weeks before the sleepover and find out what they think they need for the sleepover)
• Pack an overnight bag using an agreed kit list. A suggested kit list is provided but you can adapt this to suit your unit.
• Help to prepare a meal or snack
• Make a craft. You could buy cloth bags and let the ladybirds design their own plate bag or a pillowcase for their pillow.
• Have a campfire session or story time or guides own
• Sleepover

Suggested Kit list. You can adapt this to suit your Ladybirds and your location and add to it where necessary.
