Description

Each Lodge receives a paper bag with a selection of fun items inside. The Lodge use these items to prompt a story. This could include some finger puppet characters and things they could tell their story around.
E.g. a space rocket, a rock, an alien finger puppet, a toy car, a keyring, a torch, a small teddy.
The Beavers make up a story and retell it to the other lodges in the colony.

Resources

A paper bag prr lodge or small group of beavers.
5-7 items to put into the bags to prompt Beavers for creating a story.

E.g..
Finger puppets, small toy characters, small household items e.g.. a spoon or a toy, a picture of a location etc.

The Beavers tey to create a simple story using all.of then items, e.g.. One day, a tiny rock speeding towards Earth fell from the sky and landed in a field near our house. That night, a strange thing happened. Whilst i was in bed, cuddling my teddy bear, i heard a strange gurgling noise and a green light lit up my bedroom, it seemed to come from out in the garden. I peeped through a thin crack in my curtains and to my surprise, in the garden was a small creature like i had never seen. It eas green, had 6 legs, antennae on its head and 3 big eyes. It was gurgling and wandering around the garden in circles. It seemed to be looking for something. I took my torch and headed into the garden. I fpund the keyring with the back door key and opened the door. Out in the garden, the gurgling had stopped and there was no sign of the creature. Then, today, on the way to the shops in Dads car, i heard it again. I was sitting in the back and i could have sworn the sound came from the front seat...where dad was sat...then, i caught a glimpse of his reflection...he had 3 eyes, he was green...my dad was the alien!
