Instructions
I do not know who invented this game, I can’t take the credit. But the table was made by my son - you can use it as you wish.
Use one sheet per player
The aim of the game is to make the most profit at the end of the “two weeks” or in other words 14 turns.
Start with 10 pots and decide how you wish to spread them, some inshore and some off shore.
Roll the dice or flip the coin to decide good or bad weather. Eg heads = good, tails = bad. Odds = good, evens = bad.
Based on the weather complete the table, choosing how much to reinvest in more pots from the daily profit.
Think about risk vs return.
Your total profit column is cumulative. Look at my photo for example.
Our scouts had good fun with this game - took full 90 mins and was run by one of our older patrol leaders.
If you run an additional discussion about climate change impact of weather (uncontrollable) on finances of small business you can link to World badge.
