Description

A tray is spun and caught by individuals before it finishes spinning and falls to the floor.

Resources

A tray or large round sweet tin lid. If available a metal one sounds good if it falls to the floor.

Instructions

Participants can either be in a circle around the Leader or, as they get more proficient, they may choose to position themselves at further extremes of the room.
The Leader spins a tray (or large sweet tin lid) and calls a person’s name. That person rushes forward in order to catch the tray before it lands on the ground.
The person can be the next to spin the tray, if they wish, calling the next person to catch the tray.
It is important that the names (or numbers if you wish to play it that way) are called as this stops collisions and ensures that everyone takes turns.
